Your keybed feels heavy? We have the solution!
This modification is a must-do on '72-'77 Rhodes pianos and ultimately boosts the responsiveness of your keybed. That's why we call it ReMod (Responsive Modification).
The ReMod goes back to the early Fender Rhodes pianos where a piece of metal was clipped to the pedestal which acted as a leverage. (Fender) Rhodes pianos from '72-'77 do not have this bump and though they are hard to play especially over time. That's why we strongly recommend the ReMod on all of these models.
Note: For applying the pedestalfelt you need a contact cement gel (not included). Please do never ever use a fluid / normal contact cement. This will work its way through the felt and will finally be on the hammer cams which you really don't want. |
